Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. Her most well-known roles include her roles in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara the Darkness. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian as well as a role as Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family grew up in Sterling, Virginia, as well as Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in professional and amateur theatre productions. Swallow obtained a bachelor's degree in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies for an MFA in Acting at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She was one of the stars in the world premiere of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. She also played opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins’ play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. Swallow won the Falstaff Award for best Female performer in the year 2010 for her performance in Kate in the play The Taming of the Shrew.In 2012, Swallow and fellow singer/comedian Jac Huberman devised their own stage show, Jac N Swallow and performed it in New York at the Laurie Beeckman Theater and Joe's Pub. The show is about their hilarious misadventures as they confront different life situations.
