Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright, born 17 February 1991 is an English actress. She is also a director, model activist, and actress. Her most well-known role is the role of Ginny Weasley who is the Harry Potter film series's main character. Born in London, Wright portrayed the role for ten consecutive years until she was finally chosen to play the character as the character in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Wright appeared in several independent films like Before I Sleep (2013) and The Sea (2013). The films were met with mixed reviews. Wright made her stage debut with Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth in 2013 at the Southwark Playhouse. In 2012, she graduated from University of the Arts London with a degree in filmmaking. After that, she established her own production firm, BonBonLumiere, and began making short films. Her first directed project was the coming-of-age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to high reviews. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), with Christian Coulson, and Sextant (2016), both of which focused on landscape and emotion as main themes. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. Medusa's Ankles (2018) The film stars Kerry Fox, Jason Isaacs and is based on A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She also produced music videos for Scarlett Johansson, Pete Yorn and Sophie Lowe. Wright has gained recognition for her environmental activism. she is also an ambassador for the charities Greenpeace and Lumos.
