Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Her parents are Angie Chalke and Doug Chalke. She is the middle child having one older sister Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in a television film, City Boy (1992). After her first movie Sarah was a candidate for the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was looking for an alternative to the character after Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995. She was also involved in the making of Roseanne (1988), 1994-1995. In 1994, Sarah starred alongside Jim Varney in Ernest Goes to School (1994). Then, in 1996, she appeared in two movies in which she starred, including Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) where she played a cheerleader "Krista Wilson". Sarah was asked to play a character in a TV series called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998), one year after Roseanne (1988). It was based on the show the show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also appeared in the show. Sarah took over Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She said she wanted to quit acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988) however she's actually younger. Participated in 1999's CCMA awards ceremony and was awarded the award for the most outstanding single. September 1999: Appeared at the age of eight in Vancouver's stage productions. Fluent in French as well as German. She works in a hospice that caters to terminally ill children and works for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke loves cooking with her group of friends, especially Thai and sushi, and playing guitar. She also enjoys ski (she is an instructor) kayaking, snowboarding, kayaking, and reading. Her father is a lawyer, as are both of her parents are mediators. Both manage a child adoption company. In the past, she accompanied her parents to China for the purpose of coordinating the adoption of orphans.
